looking without really seeing!!

live to love your life;)
The tiny fragments of life. Those brief snapshots that transport us from maelstrom of everyday life and put us into a state of calm reflection, affording us a true sense of clarity. Even while we are surrounded by the usual facade of daily industry, it is always possible to separate ourselves away from the chaos, to notice the smaller details or merely to view things from a different perspective. It is thus important to pause and look at such tiny pieces of life, and remind ourselves that we can, sometimes, look without really seeing.
It is in those placid moments of our life when you get the opportunity to reflect on ourselves and see how we've let ourselves get entangled into the banal and humdrum rules. How such and such rules are dictated to be followed and others not to be. And I am talking about going wild and killing people, but the mere rules of earthly day-to-day lives. It is thus, very ardent to rid yourself from such mundane affairs and to let go of inhibitions and indulge in guilty pleasures. Its hilarious how insanity helps to restore your sanity sometimes. Last night, my pals and I decided to go out for some casual drink. Ended up going to this bar with some live bands and man were they good..!! Just wish I had taped 'em to share their music with you guys. Anyways, we ordered some drinks, got high and sneaked out without paying a dime. Not so civil thing to do, I know, but haven't we all done something which challenges our civility once in a while. Got out and ended up in the public park and smoked 'something I ought not to mention here' and partied till the wee hours. I tried not to drink too much though. Just the last Wednesday, I just got high just on beers (don't ask how I got to that point!!). Had to puke all the way to my home. Word of advice don't take a cab when drunk. The speed and turns around the highway just makes it worse. As of now I feel really tired and intend to rest through the weekend after all that night trotting. But I'll take that as refueling myself to tackle the social and earthly humdrum of the following week. You may as well fulfill your social obligations during the weekdays but indulge yourself with what you love during the weekends.
So, my blog buddies tell me what are the things you'd prefer to do during the span of your weekend?

in all my weirdness...

Here's the thing. I was talking with a friend and during the entire length of the chit-chat we covered wide span of topics. Somewhere in between he asked me what my favourite movies were...!!
"lots to name", I answered
"what kinds you like then?", he asked
I answered, "I like animation, zombie movies, superhero movies and lil' bit of fantasy"
"well... seems you don't want to get in touch with reality then...", he proposed.

That was an odd thing to say, I thought. That was a bummer because I hovered around what he had said and whether or not what he said had any shred of reality. Do I really like movies which are above and beyond any sense of reality. Well my list of choice can be fantastic or mundane (depending upon your taste) but the fact is I don't know what I like or dislike. I can only tell if I like or dislike something after having watched it (or not). To be honest, I'm a big fan of documentaries too... I was completely in love with the movie "Zeitgeist". Its a 2007 movie by Peter Joseph. It asserts three main ideas and you've to watch to know what they are. It is so compelling that you can only stare and marvel at how brilliantly they've shaped the movie!! I loved "Into the Wild", it shows in its own shrewd and harsh way how life is supposed to be led and lived. I loved "Constant Gardener" for how it bared the nasty reality. Ahhh... and hence, I deduce and repeat "lots to mention", because there literally are couple of dozens I like. Having said that, I do however, love watching the movies that I want to believe in rather than what is ought to be believed.

I'm not an avid movie watcher. I'm one of those kinds you know, kinds who are much into pop culture. I like summer blockbusters, I squirm and curse at villains and clap and whistle when Spider-Man spins his web, I'm much into Super-Man's cloak than the movie about economic crisis, I want to believe in Peter-Pan and Charlie's Chocolate Factory, I want to attend Harry Potter's school (in fact my facebook info states am studying at Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry) and want to visit Jurassic Park one day (Jurassic park series were four of my all time fav's). I love animated movies. "Finding Nemo", "Robots", "Toy Story" (esp. part 1 n' 3), "Wall-E" are few of my absolute favourites. I love horror movies especially late at night and when its raining/cloudy. And do you know, when I was small I wanted to be a vampire (true story), but with the onset of ongoing vampire craze I think, am happy to stay human. But man... am not at all into vampire/witch thingy which is so hot and happening currently. Do vampires always have to be so suave, swift and absolute lady killers? And why are there only human ghost. I think the ghost theory also applies to the animals alike... so whatever happened to dog ghosts, chicken ghosts and likes of other such ghosts. I love zombie movies all so dearly. Its mundane, I know but who said they have to make sense. I love 'em. Oh'well if you're into zombie too, do watch "23 Days Later" and this new series called "The Walking Dead." They're fab, I tell ya...

So in my complete weirdness, I love watching so called mundane categories of movies namely animation, zombie movies, superhero movies and lil' bit of fantasy. If I'm above and beyond the sense of reality, so be it. Blog buddies hell with watching movies to add some sense to life, watch movies you want to believe in. Pretend that its real if you want to and keep doing it as long as it makes you happy. Always keep your sense of wonder in full alert, dream, imagine and stay insanely happy. So, lemme know what are your favourites? (If any) Can you pick your very own top three? I will make it a point to watch your mentions;)

how an ass became a horse!! #true story

For all the serious readers out there... well, the title is relatively fancy but its a theory that I believe in all so dearly. There's one saying paraphrased as "an ass went travelling and returned a horse." I just came back from a very tiring trip but wholesomely awesome one. And if I write this post in journal style it'll get gigantically long and brutally boring so I'll just sum it up and let it just be sweet summary. Actually, am too tired to write and every ounce of my body hurts but I'd love to write now; when memory is still fresh and when there's itsy-bitsy of adrenaline left in my blood stream from all those hiking;)

There's something which works mysteriously in our ridiculously ugly looking brain. When things get monotonous; friends become foes, loved things becomes hated ones, beauty becomes beast, cabin fever sets in (meaning we start hating the people and things we see on a daily basis)...!! I'd say all the more reason to pack your bags and go out trotting. It refreshes our mind and our stupid brains comes back to its senses; foes become friends, we start loving the things we hated once, we see beauty in the things we were totally ignorant about, and we try new things. Just as we clean our home or things in routined basis, our mind needs to get refreshed, time and again to be in perfectly healthy state.

Come last weekend I went to the third biggest island in mainland China "Congming Island." It was great change form usual random facade of life physically, mentally and visually. Physically from comforts of room to damp island, mentally from city hustle-bustle to sounds of chirping birds, and visually from super concrete civilization to the greenery which literally pokes your eye with its placidity. It was a school trip, if I hadn't mentioned before. Met some old folks who I'd lost touch with and realized I'd missed 'em all along. Met some new folks and fresh titter tatters. Tried new foods and hated 'em.
Am not much of a nature lover. I haven't stopped and stared at the blooming spring flower or pristine mountain delta and said to myself "aha life is good." But I do enjoy strolling (swiftly and fast) on the park now and then, preferably accompanied with music. This time it was different. We, as in my friends and I, took bicycles and rode it beyond our stamina. Fact being we went to 3 parks in 2 days (forest park, marsh park and pearl park). At the end of the first night I was literally hoping no more excitement would come along our way before some sound sleep. But quite interestingly I loved what happened when we were not sight seeing. I loved taking the power naps in betweens on the bus and later on Saturday night few of us went out with guitars and sang our hearts out with bonfire and some BBQ's which, if I may say so, was one of the best things that happened along the entire length of this trip. We sang until some people next to our table were tad too impressed and would gift us few beers before some neighbours came complaining about the noise. Then came the rainfall and later we played some cards before calling it a night. Same day before we went to the hotel we had feisty outdoor gathering with stage set. All those fun games, singing and dancing was fun too. If I am allowed to brag, I won two of the games but the gifts I won are too ridiculous to be mentioned.

To sum it up :: I saw teenie weenie crabs and load's of 'em; rode a horse which was maliciously slow one; some usual recreational games, nasty foods, new faces new people, was thirsty most of the time, songs, sun and getting a hint of tan (which I love), stumbling upon some brave deers, and ample body aches!! So my blog'buds remember "an ass goes travelling and comes back as a horse." Actually I fear infringement and plagiarism uploading photos in public forum like this. I'll upload tons of 'em in Facebook though. But it won't hurt to upload some here, so here's some pictures (some above others below), with which I conclude the post. Love you all to the moon and back!!

mo:mo unites us all...

I have been missing mo:mo awfully lot. How I wish there was this famous food chain with boastful mo:mo menu. Wouldn't it be awesome if KFC was called KFM reading Kentucky Fried Mo:Mo and Mc'mo:mo instead of Mc'donalds. They should declare mo:mo as our national food already. In the country where everybody is honking and stomping everything that divides us, its amazing that the petty things such as food unites us. Okay, I overstated, foods aren't petty things (I basically live to eat). Few days ago I posted "they should make mo:mo our national food already" as my facebook status. My friend Jack S'prw was first to reply saying "This is the right time. Constitution is being drafted. Aandolan garnu parla jasto chha :P / mo:mo party ki political party?"  I was like aandolan garnai pardaina. Nepal would revolt if mo:mo wasn't our national food instead. With everything going on in Nepal mo:mo might be one of those things which clearly unites us all. And if you are browsing (mentally) whether chicken mo:mo or buff mo:mo should be "the chosen one", I'd say you're such a buzz kill. Mo:mo is mo:mo, eat whatever suits your platter!!

Those (juicy) dumplings feeds us all. From rags to riches. From Prachanda to Rajesh Hamal. From migrants to ex-pats. And apparently we are always looking for reasons to eat it. I mean c'mon each of you must have hosted mo:mo parties or been to one, couple of times. And all of us have once said "aja mo:mo khane khalko din cha." I simply deduce that we're looking for reasons to eat mo:mo almost all the time. And mo:mo helps us to socialize, all those jokes and hilarities that we share among friends while preparing those juicy dumplings are worth much more than the price we pay to go to this fancy restaurant in down-town to munch some fast foods. Or go to those dingy alleys of Basantapur and Patan, they sell some decently tasteful mo:mo with golveda ko aachar!!

And don't we all let go of our inhibitions when we eat mo:mo. Its like we let our inner child out. I often stuff mo:mo desperately only to realize it is too hot. Now I can neither masticate, swallow nor spit out. Don't LOL, I know you've done that too. And don't we all love fried mo:mo, oh'well if its home made simply call it baasi mo:mo. Its utterly yummy!!

I declare momo unites us all;)
Do you have your own mo:mo stories?

Oops!! we did it again...

I shall hereby talk only with the conditions applied. When I say we here, let us take into consideration only Nepalese and that's that. Last night, I stumbled upon this write-up which heavily criticized Nepal's way of tourism. Before you get itchy, the writer didn't criticize Nepal and its jaw-dropping beauty but how present situation can actually act as a speed breaker which could otherwise have been the smooth trip to the Himalayan country. I thought, the article reflected shred of truth and hence, shared it on my Facebook page. To my utter surprise, some people got almost vicious. I ended up deleting some comments and I've 5 inbox messages preaching me what I shared was wrong in so many levels.
One of the friendly comments read "There's no need to read a book to know Nepal isn't paradise bro. But its important to remain an optimist. The glass is half full remember" to which I replied "I agree, and am not trying to prove otherwise. But there's a shred of truth in this article. And I think being optimistic doesn't mean the complete absence of negatives. Its also the acceptance of what we lack and willing to improve the situation. And to improve we need to reflect on the reality. take care bro!!"
This was, as I said, one of the friendly feed backs; others were hostile to say the least. My point being, tourists who come to our country are all guests. Whether or not they return happy, is out of our control, and even if they hate us to bits and pieces they are still our guests. Meanwhile, it would be in best interest of us to inquire into the reality, scrutinize the potholes and try to ease or better the situation. We need to reflect on the reality and continue doing our best work while improving the ones which needs improvement. Time and often we focus on being positive, which is great but let us not forget ignoring the negatives doesn't make us positive. Positiveness and optimism comes form goodness and not from ignoring or pretending everything that is ugly and nasty there is.

Few months ago Sonam Kapoor, emerging Bollywood actress and fashionesta, re-tweeted one of the Prabal Gurung's tweets which stated something about Nepal Tourism Year. Long story short we got itchy and reacted in the only way we often do "badly." Especially concerning the matters of our gigantic southern neighbour, India, we get itchy more than we should. Its like they hold this remote which controls our action. One wrong button, we rattle and battle; and they end up not caring and continue holding that remote. We've squirmed and shouted at those Bollywood bloopers/faux pas time and again. I agree, if they're wrong they need to know that they made the mistake and apologizee accordingly but not at the cost of what we lose (and we lose mighty lot at the hand of protesters). Long time ago when Hritik Roshan apparently said something about Nepal, we showed our anger on the streets, destroying possibly everything which stood on our way. What kind of impression does it give? Was that the only way the situation could have been handled?

But I totally get it, I mean how we react to it. Our beautiful country is going through some low and downer times. So we hold the good things which we've in our country as tightly as possible. When India says Lumbuini is their's, we give our best crybaby feat or best slap. When the emerging person with burgeoning talent and fame like Prabal Gurung mentions he's a proud Nepali we go weak on our knees, and we cry and sob when Anuradhs didi asks for a Nepali national flag on stage while giving speech after having won CNN heroes. With everything that is happening we still hold on to the  goodness there is and still hope for bigger brighter future. That to me is a mark of a true hero, a true optimist. Yes, the place I come form everyone is the hero!!

kutumba :: they make delicious music!!

They're definitely one of the best things that happened to Nepali music industry. I just love them to the moon and back. Most definitely, there are musicians to the likes of Kutumba but the very fact they commercialized the traditional music of Nepal to the extent they did, sets them apart. Here's the music video from their album Utsarga. I frig'n luv'd it.

Pariwartan is based on the energetic rhythms of the Chandi and Syabru styles of the eastern hills. This track encapsulates the transformations within the band members as individuals and as artists.
Music video directed by Fuzz Production. LOVE their music ^ infinity!!!

such irregularities & life's hilarities!!

Consider eternity. Submerge into the believe system which states that we're intertwined in this particular strand of time and the believe that this time will go to the end of eternity (I don't make much sense, do I?)!! Now consider the miniature strand of time. Let's just say the strand of time as minuscule as second. Scrutinize over all the possible things happening right this second, right this moment.

Right about now some babies are coming to the world - someone somewhere passed away, half the world is asleep - other half working, some are enjoying pena-colada and mojitos - others are starving for a piece of bread, some are rejoicing the festival - some are tormented over the natural disaster that just passed away, some are enjoying the rain - some the bitter cold, some are reading the morning newspaper - some are preparing the dinner, some are making movies - some are face-booking, some are having sex - some experiencing orgasm, some hearts broken - some just falling in love, some just finished masturbating - some discovering the wonders of masturbation, some are changing the world - some are complaining, some are watching the news - some are the news, some are saving lives - some are ruining theirs, some just graduated - some entered school, some are on the plane flying - some on the sea floating, some kissing - others hugging, some making music - some making a blunderous mistake... aha life!! Just a second but such irregularities, something common but life's hilarities!!

A second of difference can make you a winner or the runner-up, one second might cost you bucks, this single strand of time might be the time you needed not to miss the subway you just did, a split of second decision can change the course of your life, its in this minuscule strand of time in which numerous people got shot. This unfathomable fleeting moment constitutes in it, infinite emotions and actions. A second my friend, just a second...

Footnote :: We are not standardized processed sausages meant to look, taste and feel the same. Enjoy being different and the different things we get to do in life. We might be sharing this strand of time but each of us have different things to do, different things to see, different things to feel and experience. So many lives - so many experiences. May be each one of our experiences is like a piece in a jigsaw puzzle and when fit together will make the complete bigger beautiful picture!! So keep doing the things you ought to do and keep doing it as long as you wake up in the morning feeling fresh. So my friends don't you think life's irregularities and hilarities is awesome?? ...because I do!!

plethora of favorite foods, family, friends & fun!!

Life has its ways of pulling and pushing us, giving or taking things from us!! Much like empty vessel we allow plethora of emotions to flow within us. Don't you sometimes wake up and feel like you can change the bloody damn world and some other time you wake up feeling whats the point. Wish I could decipher complexities of how we work, so that, I could flush out the bits that I don't like and prioritize the bits I love. But life doesn't work that way, does it? It throws at us these series of things - like deaths, celebrations, graduation, heartaches... - and we learn to handle it with time. We grow up to not trusting people, to be more cautious that we ought to, to plaster the smile on our face and answer I'm doing great when somebody inquires how are you today, we mutate with time, we grow!!

Am not immune to those plethora of  growing up sensibilities. But truth be told, I think I'm more inclined to the theory (if any), which encourages us to get in touch with our younger sensibilities; when we trusted people, when things were tad too simple, when feeling of forgiveness was mutual, when we were happy it showed in our face, when we were sad tears would tell the story, when friendship was fun and only meant for fun, when you either loved or hated somebody, when looking good was not an issue, when life was full of possibilities and when we had dreams to travel to the moon, to the place as far as Antarctica, when cartoon mattered more than global warming and such other plethora of young sensibilities. Yes, truth be told we don't become wiser with the age but the opposite.

There are tons of people I'd rather not socialize with, I thought. But we had teensy-weensy social gathering for the Nepalese New Year eve (13th April '11). I admit, I had more fun with people I thought I had NO business socializing. We munched on our favourite foods, we sang our favourite songs, we exchanged greetings with each other, we had fun, we experienced the true essence of celebration. Lil' hungover at the end but smiles in abundance. This teaches me to give chance to people, let them get the benefit of doubt!!

We are social beings. Think about all the good memories you have had... they all include people, don't they? So we might as well try not to be too tight fisted, put ourselves out there on the map and surround ourselves with people who make us happy. Life is just too short, so try not be consumed with negatives. So to say, I believe that hating is as much in us as loving. Just make sure that you're hating the right things/persons and for the right reasons. If you are reading this, I hope, at least for today you try to reflect on your life and prioritize the things/people dear to you and give a second chance (or third, or fourth) to the people you've been shunning away from. We are humans after all, and if we don't make mistakes, we become boring. So let us all grow back to being young and get wiser along the way. Stay childish.

much love,
shailesh.

Year 2068... gasp!!

     Cheers!! New Year Greetings ya'll...

Close down the last of the year by removing all energy that doesn’t serve your highest and greatest good. Let go of anger, hurt, pain, heartache... they didn't serve you then, they don’t serve you now, don’t let them hinder tomorrow... I think its great that we get to experience new year euphoria twice in a year; January and' Baishak. The year is 2068... now gasp;) HNY to ya'll.

Come to think of it, its like we are living in two different strands of time. We entered year 2011 in January and now we will enter year 2068 come Baishak; how awesome is that. May be, us Nepalese and others celebrating this particular new year, will be able to answer the ongoing delirium behind time and space conundrum. I absolutely love new year euphoria, I can adjust as  many new year celebrations as I can in my yearly calender. Am in Shanghai and when they celebrated Chinese New Year, I went completely berserk looking at those fire crackers. There is some charm at the time which promises new beginning. Life in general goes in a flow but new year, at least for me, is a welcome speed breaker. I never have had new year resolutions in particular. If you ever come to the point of astounding revelations or realization, I think, you don't need new year's, birthday's, Sunday's, beginning of next month... to make some resolutions. Every moment promises a change if we choose to change. But every now and then I secretly wait for the new year to knock and reassure that there is always a  new beginning.

So here's the toast for each one of you reading. I wish you get to laugh the insane laughs, get to smile like a crazy psychedelic person, get to make countless memories, get to do everything you've been wanting to do and so much more. Stay insanely happy guys;)

one helluva sandwich!! one helluva day!!

It was one of those days when I'd wake up and just know "this is going to be one fine sunny day." I played "never gonna leave this bed" by Maroon 5. Man!! Adam Levine has one helluva voice. As i was brushing, I recalled my dream and I smiled. As a medical student many have been pressing me to watch Gray's Anatomy and I just did. Watched three episodes to be precise. And in my dream I saw one of the characters from the G.A. Also my mum was showing this big tomato tree with big trunk and branches (o'course in my dream/how hilarious). Its a dream anything is possible RIGHT?. If only reality was as much fun as dream is, alas. I left home feeling really upbeat and spotted following random things, thank god I took camera with me today.

SPOTTED#1 :: the old are in a second childhood!!

The complete life, the perfect pattern, includes old age as well as youth and maturity. The beauty of the morning and the radiance of noon are good, but it would be a very silly person who drew the curtains and turned on the light in order to shut out the tranquillity of the evening. Old age has its pleasures, which, though different, are not less than the pleasures of youth (words from 'the summing up').

I've always taken aged ones as story tellers. They've, within them fountain of stories. I remember my grand-mum telling me stories of the days when my dad was a child and his mischievous ways around her. No matter what age you are, or what your circumstances might be, you are special, and you still have something unique to offer. Your life, because of who you are, has meaning. This picture, in particular, is just too awesome. I was strolling in the park with a friend and there she was holding specs on her hand and squinting her eyes to read the book. Age is truly just the number. If she has in her, this will to study and this sense of inquisitiveness, at this age; we might as well learn thing or two from her and try to retain our sense of wonder;)

Betty Friedan quote : Older, we must move, and stay, and move again, to keep our life-giving ties alive, for this movement is our fountain of age. And there's a freedom in realizing this, a new freedom to move or stay, new necessities and possibilities of choice.

SPOTTED#2 :: dirty stinky feet!!

Behold people and try to find this feet sticking right out of the car window. Well he was there taking his scheduled siesta and not bothered at all. All this at the wee business hours. Don't we all wish sometimes, to just pause the helter-skelter days and date with ourselves. Relaxing and not worry about the global warming, apocalypse, world wars, job, money and what not!! My idea of relaxing might not be sticking the feet out of car and taking the nap but hey whatever works for you..lol.

SPOTTED#3 :: facebook and all the fun it brings along!!

OK. Here's the thing. I'd always loathed this burgeoning facebook applications (silly ones), and today somebody posts on my wall with the question "DO U THINK SHAILESH IS A TERRORIST : CLICK HERE TO UNLOCK THE ANSWER".. Hold it there, the one who posted it is my English teacher from secondary school. Taru ma'am;) Aww facebook you gave me lol moment of the day!! Ta'ru ma'am keep facebooking.

Next, one of my facebook friends shares a status which reads "Now am sure the world is not going to end in 2012 because even my toothpaste is dated to expire on 2013!!" lol. How refreshing and upbeat;)
.............................................................................................................

And finally you might be wondering why did I state sandwich in the post title. Its because this amazing day started with me munching some sandwich's, and that might have catalysed the energy in me to look around my habitat and actually notice the humor (all) around!! So eat well peeps and keep your eyes wide open, because when you start looking you start finding things that might just make you smile. And we can always use some smiles;)

Below is another picture of this inspiring old lady this fine sunny day. Ciao

more than i bargained for...

Not so while ago I used to think I had no business blogging. I'd scribble paragraph or two and misplace it eventually. Some were disposable but I hope I had compiled some of 'em. There were some who would suggest me to start a blog of my own but I never took it seriously. Firstly, I thought I wasn't good enough (and I still have long way to go) and also that I didn't (I still don't) have specific topic to blog about. I would see these amazing blogger's who would share things on the topic which they are clearly passionate 'bout. Topic ranging from culinary skills to wine, tech-savvy stuffs to engineering, photography to social issues, fashion to porn, and there I was writing some mumbo-jumbo stuffs in complete randomness. Long story short, this Jan I was reading this blog and it had some information about swine flu. Interesting but the facts were all distorted, it triggered angry bone inside me (am a medical student). In all seriousness, how could anybody write something about the ongoing pandemic thingy and get creative with it in all the wrong ways possible. I couldn't comment without creating a blog of my own, which I did without thinking. So I literally jumped into blogging thing with an impulse.

The good thing is, I discovered I loved it. I just wanted to write. I write not because I want to, but because I have to. It’s the one way I can truly give voice to my thoughts, for better or worse. When I started blogging (end of January this year) I honestly don’t think I gave a shit whether I had 2 readers or 200 or 2000. I just wanted to write. The fact that you guys have stuck around is truly humbling and encouraging. In case I forget later, thanks. However, I never commented on the swine flu post (LOL). I didn't want to lose my breath arguing. Its already three months now and am happy that I have a place where I can platform all my random stuffs for me to save and for somebody to read. In short span I got all these good responses. Mails with suggestions, one particularly interesting hate-mail which in some weird ways made me feel good, appreciative comments and thousands of readers. I started the blog thinking who would care so, literally I got more than bargained for. I don't go around checking my blog statistics but it does feel good to know there are people who are taking time form their seemingly busy day to read the blog, mine in particular. I love each one of you;)

Living Life In A Loop.

I predict they're going to make a movie on Anna Hazare within the span of 20 years. And one who plays him will win all those golden statues... and they say world is unpredictable I suppose otherwise;) I predict earthquake, extremist bombings in few days... grrr. I mean come to think of it, c'mon try. The situation, that we perceive, is same but its the people who experience it and the place it occurs that differs. Within the yearly span heroes are born, accidents happen, new celebs are introduced replacing the crybaby old ones, scandals arise, somebody dies, Chinese win some sort of athletic games, earthquakes happen, India continues to make movies, planes crashes, people blame U.S. for literally everything... ahh B.O.R.I.N.G!! We live in the world where we are used to repeat doing things. You don't need to take a broader perspective. Look into your life, most of us complain that life is becoming repetitive but then we don't change an iota of whatever it is that we want to change, so much so that complaining has become repetitive.

Yes, we study all week, do mundane chorus, eat. We party, drink beer, marry, and produce kid. We think we are genius but we are just a mimicker. Life is to become an artist or an inventor not a repeater... not at all. If you are not some sort of celebrity or a rock star I predict that life has its ways of making you do the things is the pattern you might very soon start loathing. Not because its pathetic but because you/we will get bored soon. We are made this way... thats our innate nature. We fall out of love after marrying the person who we once thought was the only one for us, we consider profession change because the one one at hand doesn't give enough kick we need, with time we start loving new things - new music - new place. May be this is what keeps us sane - making the new random choices different form the past because as soon as we come back to your senses and look round or turn on the television the things seems to be running in some sort of loop. Few months ago there was earthquake in Haiti, then Chile, then New Zealand, then Japan... the news is same the place differs, the number of casualties differ.

So take a long breath and give your self a big pat. With so much happening in and around our life and the world, just holding onto our sanity is a great job in itself. So let us take a healthy breaks once in a while and try new things (or do the things we always do but differently this time).

teenie weenie twaddle...

the tag  contains all my prattle, blather and yammer, if u don't want to hear all my mumbo-jumbo, kindly pass to the other posts below or to the other tags;)
G'day, fellow poo-hole jabbers - A big thank you to everybody who are browsing through my blog, ha ha now what do I do?

Fairly non-scene here & pass for straight. Also been on what I like to call the "salmon famine" my whole life (I'd rather not elaborate why). I hate religion, and am unbeatable in Smash Bros on Wii when I use Zelda. And yes I am a BIG BIG lier;)

I'm an Nepalese, born in Nepal, grew up in Nepal, now in Shanghai on a 6 years medical program. Once I left behind all social obligations to give my career a red hot go, got my dream job at this radio thingy... then I had to escape from the narrow alley lil' later when I realized I had bigger things to do!!! Ha ha!! So now I am doing something I never dreamed of doing... I am studying to be a doctor, basically running helter-skelter in hospital corridors and asking 'em what is the problem (literally)!!

I am not an angry person (or I am, don't argue), but there are a LOT of different types of people that piss me off! I hate people that don't indicate when turning their car, block the escalator/walk slowly in corridors, stuff like that. I generally just have a high regard for those around me and hate that it is too much to expect of them. And for fucks sake, TWO major rules if you are ever going to watch movies... 1/Don't flash your cell phone while in cinema, YOU SHENANIGANS and throw your rubbish in the bin when you are done!! 2/ NEVER raise your voice at me, I don't do that to others either. I am civil so if you sit and try to explain I will understand (prolly, clueless face). 3/ Ah sorry I said two things, you see third thing is I am bad in maths and I hate it like anything (on that note I have statistics this semester, teehee). Its funny how people say keep on saying positive things to yourself and it sort of gets into your mind. I've been saying I LOVE MATHS since high school. Trust me I still hate it;)

I am not looking for the right person, but rather trying to BECOME him. I have a lot of growing up to do. And I say that because I am never happy with where I am, there is always something to improve. I want to learn how to cook, to improve my writing, to get in touch with old folks, to play guitar, beef up to "truly ripped", and to capture a spider on my wall without using the biggest salad bowl I can find. I don't aspire to any particular individual, I think of who I want to be instead. I also find that I respond better to competition than just my own benchmark, so if you have something to throw in my face, I encourage it.

My single biggest mission in life is to do something related to art. Anything creative will suffice. When I was in school I along with this friend (Shristi Rijal) pledged to become a documentary film-maker. For fucks sake we were serious and I still might, who knows.  I want my own star tile with my hand print in the cement, and to have others aspire to do what I have done. I already have experience - very small tho -in various aspects of creative part like in radio and magazines. But am struggling (mentally) with the fact that I am doing something completely opposite but the truth is I love medicine too. I love meeting people and without sounding charitable and Mahatma Gandish helping people feels great in so many levels, its sort of ego boost you know. I nearly gave up last year, big time. I wanted to quit and become a creative writer (am lying here, I'd be too embarrassed if I'd really admit what I was opting for), but I knew I would regret it for the rest of my life, so here I am. Aha are people like me or am I the only one? Or do I fear dramatic debacle? So much gobbledygook.

Anyways, most things Chinese interest me: Kung-fu, sushi (in high-school I thought that sushi was Chinese, lol), buildings, Shanghai... fuck...ma here since 2008. Bloody oath it is the best city!! I did Karaoke (didn't like it much) and city trotting like hell, do it yourself some time, and bring a really good camera. Actually, on that note, photography... ummm, just so ya know, if we go anywhere together, and I have my camera, best to bring a friend to talk to. Art and creativity are something that runs in my family, I want to use it to help change the world... even just by a little - and I don`t care if you laugh, because I know it`s a long shot. If I die knowing I have inspired hundreds, thousands - man - millions of people through whatever means I can achieve, then, I will happily drift off to the heaven I don`t even believe in. Ha ha ha

Also, I am really big on psychology, sociology, interaction between human beings... this has been my forte for as long as I can remember. I'd  love to meditate one day, counselling, offering advice. I take great interest in the mind, and discovering how to train it. Body language is big, and I find that most people are not conscious of theirs.. big mistake. I`m not a lie detector... but I am not stupid. And I find that my playful demeanor in person deludes an alarmingly huge majority of people, but it isn't intentional. I may not be the most educated in terms of history and geography, but general knowledge does not define IQ. Lets put "figuring you out" down as a hobby.

That`s it for now, I might come back to edit this and compile my profiles into one, I have a lot to say. Cheers for reading this far, or at least scrolling down to the bottom and spoiling the end for yourself, you weird kid. And don't forget to throw your rubbish in the bin.

I'll be adding or eradicating soonish if I feel the need to prattle, blather and yammer all under the tag :: gibberish. And this post officially makes me a narcissist. Now go die;)

Change your mind... then change it again!

The other day I was catching up with Twilight movie thingy. Yeah, I hadn't watched the movie and its sequels until few days ago. Better late than never, I thought. I won't say i didn't like the movie but I didn't understand why pple are going all gaga and fanatic over it. But there was this graduation speech by the girl named Angela, I suppose which moi likess.
"When we were five, they asked us what we wanted to be when we grew up. Our answers were thing like astronaut, president, or in my case… princess. When we were ten, they asked again and we answered – rock star, cowboy, or in my case, gold medalist. But now that we’ve grown up, they want a serious answer. Well, how ’bout this: who the hell knows? This isn’t the time to make hard and fast decisions; it’s time to make mistakes. Take the wrong train and get stuck somewhere chill. Fall in love – a lot. Major in philosophy ’cause there’s no way to make a career out of that. Change your mind. Then change it again, because nothing is permanent. So make as many mistakes as you can. That way, someday, when they ask again what we want to be,we won’t have to guess... We will know."
